World's Largest Solar Tree

This 23 foot tall solar tree is part of a revenue-neutral installation fabricated by Great Lakes Scenic Studios for the City of London Ontario's tourism welcome centre.

The Bell TIFF Lightbox building is one of Toronto's premier downtown residences. As you enter the residence lobby, there is a feature wall of silver metal ribbons that stretches from floor to ceiling. Built and installed by Great Lakes Scenic Studios, its fabrication required the deft hand of one of our most creative and skilled welders to help it take the physical form, as was envisioned by the designer.

Artist Patrick Tuttofuoco stands beside his fiberglass sculpture Joe.  When I took the call from a curator at the Art Gallery of Hamilton, I was cautiously intrigued. The gallery was about to show the work of up and coming artist Patrick Tuttofuoco and the artist had a request. Would it possible to have a sculpture fabricated locally within a week in time for the exhibition? It was a last minute idea by the artist that was posed to the Gallery and subsequently to us.
