Eager to build on the success of the Nintendo Wii, the gaming giant decided to launch a summer roadshow visiting shopping malls and festivals across Canada.
As the fabricator of this touring exhibit, there were many things that needed to be considered as we planned out the construction. First, since it was a touring exhibit, it needed to be able to be put up and taken down in short order. It also needed to pack away easily and compactly to be moved to the next location. Of course, since it was going to be part of an interactive experiential marketing program, it needed to be constructed to stand a lot of wear and tear by a hands-on public. Lastly, it really needed to capitalize on the Nintendo brand with bright colours and whimsy.
Working with the client, we were able to incorporate all of these features successfully into the Nintendo Wii tour exhibit. It looked great once set up, as it was welcomed by cheerful crowds and stood up to the travails of the road with flying Nintendo colours.
